wow, it's funny my gf and i were JUST talking about the same exact topic this evening. how some of our choices for bridesmaid would be out of obligation as opposed to what's current and real. you did the right thing. it's your day, and you're allowed to have/want supportive friends there for you.
you think...? i just feel bad. but no hard feelings on both end - i hope at least and i know just as much as i might have felt obligated to ask her, she probably felt just as obligated to say yes... i would rather have "true" friends who support me and want to share the experience with me there by my side.
i;ll be ur bridesmaid =) that'll prolly be the closest thing to being married for me ahahhaahha....
ps ur not a bad person, being someone's bridesmaid is a huge honor. It should be cherished and taken with a certain amount of respect and responsibility. If she doesn't get it, then TO THE CURB SHE GOES!!! =P
I'm going to korea in two weeks to meet my fiance's mom. What present should I get her? My friends say medicine or make up. But she's old and devout Buddhist. Dunno. Any input would help. (I was thinking the Deuce Bigalow DVD)
The deuce bigalow dvd is perfect for a devout buddhist old fashioned koeran lady! right on! :P
is this "present" a personal gift from you to her or a "welcome to the family" gift from your family to her family cuz koreans are really nit picky about stuff like that. medicine and make up are safe gifts for any korean lady .... but if you want to make it a little more personal, maybe even jewellry, watches. either way, good luck! have you ever been to korea before?
Been there five years ago to party. I'm just going to meet the fam. I really can't afford jewelry.. (I'm saving for a $6000 ring... UGH!) I figure a years supply of Centrum and she's good to go. I do have to figure out what to get my fiance since her birthday is coming up. Maybe a picture of yours truly. HA HA HA HA! I'll have to get a glamour shot with major touchup. *kekekkekeke*
haha...good stuff!!!! that way when you piss her off she has something to vex out on! :P when are you guys getting married? and congrats if i haven't congradulated you already on the engagement.
