Work study at school gave me employment in the Student support services office. My job seems to be to sit around and surf the internet or study for my shift, "unless we find something for you to do." Its weirding me out, I'm used to a job where I have to work at goofing off.

I am currently surfing the web while 8 kids nap (well...at least 6 of them are asleep and the rest aren't making much noise. The boss put in wireless so I could surf on my laptop for 2 hours. In other words I'm right there with you. Isn't it grand?

What school are you at now? For what?

I'm at beautiful Beloit College studying anthropology. I'll be here two years then it'll be on to grad school if all works out well, which it should - my prof/advisor, Nancy Mcdowell is teh awesome - she used to hang with Margaret Mead and is a bigwig in anthro circles. Today she told a story about how she taught Melanesian Pidgin to Lily Tomlin over the phone for the movie Krippendorf's Tribe. She's got as many crazy stories as Boomer, it makes for interesting times.
