I hate 101. Very much. I'm glad you're OK! I have never learned how to put on a spare, which is pretty lame. I wonder how long until that bites me in the butt?

The key to changing your tire is getting the bolts started (just loosen them one turn) while the tire is still on the ground. If you try that when you have the wheel jacked up it will spin while you turn it.
The second thing is putting the jack on a hard-point. Look for the frame of the car right behind (or in front is a rear wheel) the wheel.
You know you choose a good place if the car starts lifting when you apply the jack. If the metal you picked bends, let down the jack and try someplace else.
