This weekend, Stonewall and PaddyPower joined forces to campaign against homophobia in football. "Right behind Gay Footballers" (#RBGF on Twitter) involved sending rainbow boot laces to every professional club in the UK, asking the players to wear them in their boots this weekend to show their support. What a difference a day makes!
So this morning, I had no choice in the matter of marriage. The option just was not available to me, by law. This afternoon, however, the House of Lords made history in England and Wales, and passed the Marriage Equality Bill -it returns to the House of Commons for approval of the Lord's amendments tomorrow, after which Queenie adds her scribble ( Read more... ) -

Argh! I loathe to watch the news with my Stepdad sometimes. He can be such an insensitive dickhead. I've been chasing it for a little while, and was beginning to get a little despondent, but now I can finally say... a whopping 3stone (and a 1/2lb) off at Slimming World so far. I am super proud of myself :O) It hasn't been easy, and I have a long way to go yet, but I am so blumin' chuffed :D hehe xo -
Distraction
Recently, work has been relentless. I was in on my own yesterday, and I was so busy, but some of the daily tasks are so familiar that I can do them with my eyes closed, so to speak. The Postman brought me some Stonewall goodies this morning. I went online to grab one of the puppy bandana's, and oops... Sick
Well... Came this > < close to fainting on the Metro train into work this morning. What fun that was! Standing reading my book, minding my own business, and everything went fuzzy very quickly, then completely white. For three whole stops I couldn't see.
