Uh oh. Its been only two days and already it has begun. For those of you with prior military experience, I am sure you can really relate to this entry, as I am also sure you have gone through this, one way or another. For those that haven't; chill out, take a seat and be prepared to be learned on the etiquette of being in the field ( Read more... )

It sounds like a new Mark Burnett show. It also sounds like you've got it under control.

I hope you don't get kicked off the island, and take home a million bucks.

Haha. It would be nice if it was only just a show. The drama that surrounds this place is almost unbearable. I didn't have time to elaborate. It will take me a couple of days to finish this entry.

Muffukkin - WERD.

I'm sooooooooo glad I don't go into the field anymore. I can't even tell you how many times I've been mock-killed in some lame FTX because some candy-ass officer didn't obey radio rules or failed to inform remote units that we're in alarm red or black. Thanks, LT.

My time in the sandbox was a piece of cake, but I did it during a normal Operation not a forward theater.

FTX rules are definitely about tearing each other down. It's about being men, and men knock shit down. Even the chicks are men. Ever seen a woman scratch her balls? Check one out on an FTX at 2am coming back from the latrine.

"It's about being men, and men knock shit down."

My points exactly.

"Even the chicks are men."

Scary but soooo fuckin true it hurts to think about it.

"Ever seen a woman scratch her balls? Check one out on an FTX at 2am coming back from the latrine."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH..

I'm really interested to hear more about this. I had friends who went to the Citadel who said similar things, although obviously the scale was different.

I know I couldn't survive in the armed forces...they'd send me home sniffling on Day Two. *L*

Aww, I am sure you could. You know, there were lots of fragile women that went through basic and made it. I am not calling you fragile or nothing, but my first impression of these females were not good. I was sure they would cry and back out of it, once it got hard. But lo and behold, they made it through the whole thing. Its hard, but I think once you decide that you aren't going to quit, whether you're male or female, you will definitely make it through.

Not trying to sell you the Army or anything. In fact, if you were to ask me if you should join or not, I will yell with a resounding, HELL NO.

Its going to take me a couple of days to finish this entry, as my time is limited even more.

I hope you enjoy the rest of it.

To be honest, I wouldn't join the army even if it was one big happy, supportive family with lots of mushy togetherness. I am lazy as hell and would be punished all the time. *L* But it's good to hear that fragile people (and I am fragile, btw) do make it through intact.

I'm looking forward to the rest of your entry, but don't stress about coming here and writing. I know you've got a lot going on right now.

This post reminds of All Quiet on the Western Front. Sorta. Well, the beginning. The end sounds scary o_o Are female units the same way?

The females are the same if not worse, but there isn't such a thing as an all female unit. At least not yet.

I've been to the field [when i was in korea]with males and females and the only good thing I can say about living in same tent with a couple of females [sorta, they could've passed as male, if you ask me] is that they were a little more clean than their male counterparts. they were just as bad, if not worse, at the cry and teasing and fighting and attitudes.

Oh my mistake. I thought they separated males/females entirely.

Girls in high school are scary when they hate. I don't think I could imagine the thought of army girls..

Looking forward to the rest of the entry.

I'd be the one crying at the beginning of the day.

I don't know, I think you can handle yours. I am pretty sure you would make these idiots cry with your intelligence. They aren't the brightest bulb in the box.
