*laughs at the mental picture* Glad you enjoyed it. :) And as you know, I truly am a great admirer of our dear Holmes - but there are such delightful opportunities for poking fun at him! :)
Lol, good job! I admit I am "bewildered and befuddled," too. I'll probably feel perfectly stupid if you decide to reveal how Headlock discovered the cigar case was in the man's pocket. ;)
Here's one typo I caught:
"I see. And where there any strangers in the house?" (And were there...)
There are a few others, so if you want me to point them out, just ask.
Oh, he saw it there. =) That's the simple explanation. You may have noticed that I neglected to write how Bones knew he was a cigar smoker - actually, I didn't catch that myself until after I posted it, but it worked out all right.
Oooh, thank you! I'd be delighted if you'd point out my mistakes. I didn't even proof-read it before posting, I'm ashamed to say. It was halfway done, and I just sat down and rambled until I reached what I thought was a good point of conclusion. Skimmed over it quickly, decided I actually liked it, and posted it. *blush* I hate proofing, but I guess it's really very necessary! =)
I had the idea that he might have seen it there, but thought that was too obvious! lol I did notice that you failed to mention how Bones knew the man was a cigar smoker. (Did you change that, or is it meant to be part of the comic effect?)
Now if I can find the other little mistakes.... (Mind if I wait until after supper?) :)
