5 Reasons MGS 3DS Isn't So Bad

Jun 15, 2010 21:03

Dear MGS fandom,

I don't get it. Why did we collectively flip our shit over MGS 3DS? Here's a few reasons why I don't think it's really so bad:

Feel free to enlighten me as to how all my reasons are bullshit and MGS 3DS is going to suck harder than all the world's nukes detonating simultaneously. )

I don't think an MGS3 port is OMG THE WORST THING EVER, just that it's lazy, unnecessary and does the game no favours.

Yeah, okay. You've got a point there. It's pretty much as necessary as Metal Gear Solid Touch was.

I understand Konami's doing badly financially is desperately pulling new IPs under the banners of existing IPs (see - Lord of War, possibly Rising)...

That's really why I'm feeling sympathetic and lenient towards MGS 3DS. I don't mind Kojima whoring his baby out to keep Konami in the black. Especially since I'd do the same in a heartbeat. Family's had some financial up-and-downs this year.

*will likely ignore this game too except for pretty screenshots she can use as icons UNLESS there is a twist to it like idk playing from Boss POV*

I'm not even going to START on Rising, I just hope it's not what it looks like and there will be some deep underlying troll message

The screenshots are lovely, aren't they? Though I could swear the Boss had a softer/rounder face. I don't want to say she's off-model, but she does seem different...

Rising does look disappointingly straightforward so far. I want a cameo from GW. D:
