I'm sad about what Marion Jones did. I think what makes me saddest is that most of her career in the spotlight is a lie. A lot of her life has to do with doping and suspension (from track and field to her boyfriends). I hope she can make the rest of her life more worthwhile.

I'll miss you Kim Clijsters. You've been wonderful every time you step on court. May you enjoy life after tennis at a relatively young age.

I'm sorry. But I've got to write this out. I don't know how I got into tennis too (considering I used to hate it--but that was because I didn't know how to play it), but once I saw some of the all Williams final at 2003 Wimbledon on TV, I was hooked. May everyone be content with what each person has. Learning is messy. Everyone is smart in different ways. We create an eclectic group. Sometimes the mixes create tragedies. Other times, joy comes through. We should learn to understand each other better.

and so the harvard tradition continues ... from '01 to now, someone's gone to harvard (and they're all girls except on one occasion). maybe more gals will come to smith. and more people to amherst than to duke. the liberal arts colleges are awesome too.
