So I just finished watching the 2008 Tony Broadcast, and although it was generally entertaining there were a couple of things that really bothered me.  Foremost was the adding Whoopi Goldberg into the casts of previous Tony winning or nominated musicals.  It made zero sense and just ate up screentime that could have been better spent elsewhere.  In ( Read more... )

This weekend MTV has been running a marathon of the last season of "So You Think You Can Dance," and having watched a good chunk of it I have come to the conclusion that the show is superior to "American Idol" in just about every way.  And here's why:
