Cape Cod was lovely. Highlights included a man in a lobster suit, Josh buying a bowler hat and consequently being hit on by two men in P-Town (what a cute hat), and lazing at the beach. A good weekend.

Oh, and three months today. Geesh.

So, today I prepared my own buffer. That means I put on sterile gloves and washed the graduated cylinder with three different kinds of distilled water and sterilized the stirrer and measured out the right amounts of ingredients and mixed and fixed. So, tomorrow I am going back to work at Dairy Queen/Orange Julius. My favorite thing about that job is that I can feel like a normal, working human being while expanding my horizons. How so? Yesterday I sang at St. Raphael's Hospital with some ECGC girls, and today I sang at Yale New Haven with a different group. I didn't think of it until just now, but maybe the reason singing in a hospital was so fulfilling for me was because it lay on the border of my past and future.
