Glad to be the first to respond.

Here's the question: How and why'd you initially get into the flute and piccolo over every other instrument? Seems to be that choice that has stayed with you to the present day!

Actually, the flute was not my first instrument, the violin was, I did that for a number for years, and went to NYSSMA, completed up to a level 5 in it, got almost all perfects on it, and even did All-District and what-not. I actually took both flute and violin lessons when I did both. And then I just decided that I enjoyed the flute more, and had more of a passion for it, more of a want to play the instrument. To this day though I still have my violin, and I still take it out when I am bored and just want something different to do. And I sang in the chorus all throughout Elementary, and did the advanced choir in 7th grade that was after school. In 9th grade I even played the clarinet for a little while. So it wasn't like I didn't try other things, nor is it that I didn't do well in them, it was that the flute is just what I love to put it simple.
