The jazz concert happened tonight. I am so self-critical that I couldn't even enjoy our good performance. I'm, instead, too busy thinking about that thing I did wrong, or how I was out of tune there. My dad's best friend, Tom Kent, has a daughter, Sarah, in her early twenties. She was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor about a year and a half ago that was out of control and would be virtually impossible to eliminate. Ups and downs
Musically, things have been going very well. I somehoiw got 1st tenor in jazz band, even though the 2nd is quite obviously better than me. i don't think i deserve 1st, and while jazz band is a lot of fun, that makes me a bit uncomfortable ( Read more... ) -
Exponential awesomeness
I went to Weber tonight to look at the chair placement, and expecting to be maybe second to last or so in Wind Ensemble, I was surprised! I got 3rd, principle of 2nd part, which kicks ass. I'm the only frehman in the clarinets, so that's cool, too. I'm so excited! Funny story ( Read more... ) -
