economic stimulus / energy saving idea

Hey everybody, feel free to repost this, or otherwise pass this on if you agree (or comment and tell me why you think this might be a bad idea). Maybe if enough people send this to their representatives, it might hit critical mass.I would like you to consider a program to give compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs) to every American household.

Also, apparently there are internet rumors going around how CFLs are powered by liquid death.

Just a couple of pairs though.
Apparently some companies are trying to completely get rid of the mercury within a couple of years. Shame though. What will the crazies do then?
