Howard Hoover Colonel Henry Burns.
First Appearance: "
Age of Innocence."
Quote: "Any advancement in science has its casualties. Isn't it better that a few men have to die to keep the Einsteins of the world alive?"
Details: Colonel Henry Burns began
Operation Immortalis in 1943, attempting to create an anti-aging serum by transferring the genetic vitality of one person to another. Henry used naval fighter pilots from the
Tomcats Unit as human guinea pigs until The Dominion learned of the gruesome deaths and shut the project down. As Henry’s heart began to fail 60 years later, he and his personal physician,
Dr. Francis Gallant, surreptitiously restarted his work with the last of the surviving Tomcats, including
Jesse Kilmartin’s grandfather
William. Though the serum was temporarily effective in rejuvenating both William and Henry, William shot Henry in order to prevent him from continuing to use innocent victims to further his research goals.
