Details: Jesse Kilmartin's grandfather William was a member of The Tomcats navy fighter pilot unit during World War II; these men were recognizable by the Tomcats tattoo on their forearms. In the 1940s, Colonel Henry Burns began Operation Immortalis, experimenting upon members of the Tomcats, developing an anti-aging serum under the guise of creating an anti-malaria medication. When The Dominion learned of his unethical research in 1943, they shut the project down, but not before several of the pilots had died during the course of experimentation. These unfortunate victims, like Whitey McGowan, were listed as "missing in action." 60 years later, Burns revived the project, using the only two surviving members of the Tomcats, Peter Hansen and William Kilmartin.
