hi.

we learnt alllllllll about margaret mead in my anthropology class this quarter. (i so feel like a little kid proudly telling their parents what they've learnt) it was really interesting, and i was actually thinking that you'd probably like it a lot. we study a lot of different cultures. do it!

i miss you and i hope everything is going swell at MHS. :)

so, jason, not to bust your bubble, but margaret mead is probably the most unprofessional, unsuccessful anthropologist ever, in many people's points of view. while she is the most famous (i.e. most quoted) one, her work proves otherwise. I think you should research her a little more.

but not to sound all negative. i think anthropology is SO interesting. i'd go for it if it sounds interesting to you. :)

take care chico!

I think that you should research her a little further as well.

Also, to say that she is considered something "in many people's points of view" is incredibly vague when you're talking about one of the most well-known anthropologists in history.

You cannot deny her her significant contribution to anthropology, not to mention her influence women's movement and popular culture.

She was, and still is highly regarded academically and popularly by as many if not more people than those who feel her work was unfounded.
