One of my homework assignments included looking at what the Bible says compared to what our culture believes.  I made a mental list of things that it clearly speaks against in the Bible - lying, cheating, foul language, etc.   As I kept thinking, more controversial issues came to mind, like abortion and ( Read more... )

Right now, I am watching the guys try to catch the rat in the living room.  Yikes.

For anyone that knew my grandmother, they knew that she was always talking about how she was seeing and talking to angels.  They would visit her in her room at night.

 We just found out my grandmother, age 85, passed away this evening.  As most of you know, she had a stroke at the beginning of December, which left her paralyzed on her right side and unable to speak well.  After spending a couple weeks in the Roanoke hospital, she was transported to a nursing home in Yorktown, near my aunt, Cathy.  Well, last ( Read more... )

Well, my dad and aunts came to the decision to not have a feeding tube inserted.  However, they are keeping her on the IV and can hopefully add vitamins through there.  Cathy found a nursing home near her, so we are making preparations to have her transported there by ambulance.  Nannie is eating a little, but it takes an hour or so to spoon feed ( Read more... )
