Ugh. Very true, very real.
My own mom was often too busy to teach me how to do things - including laundry and cooking - so I was pretty lost for a while when I had my own place.
I was almost 21, trying to cook a meal for the first time. Complete disaster.

But, with my own kids, as busy as I am, I have tried to not be that mom so they are less helpless when they go out into the world!

Heh, I'm 32 and I still have trouble cooking. I did manage to not burn the tilapia the other day though, which is huge for me. ;)
