We'd like to keep the comments to vivian's entries in-character as much as possible; it's more fun that way, and more "real" for those playing along

okay, aside from all the changes- which, just like everybody else, i strongly dislike- vivian's character has been absolutely screwed.
seriously, what happened to the fierce, unique character we found in the book? the trailer and these entries make her seem like some silly, love-struck girl- which is even worse, considering that in this movie, she's supposed to be an adult. the intensity and brutality of the loup-garoux, vivian's scorn of aiden for his being a human, all that conflicting emotion- lost.
i'm sorry, but this book was beautifully written, and this movie is abjectly ruining it. you're turning it into the same old 'action-packed!' blockbuster- i mean, jesus christ. vivian's hunting people with SHOTGUNS?
wow, uh, logical fallacy much?
seriously, i am really disappointed in this movie, and that's only from what we've managed to see so far. ugh.
I think its just anotehr try to make a good movie out of a good book. And Yet again they failed. Does anyone else see another Bloodrayne? (not meaning the story line or anything just that it was only in the theater one weekend before it dropped)
If you guys wat to see It i suggest you watch it the day it comes out. I predict a short life in the theater.
I'll be in my room reading it with my hubby (he hasnt read it) I've loved this book since junior High (I graduated High school 3 years ago) I was looking forward to the movie and hoping the rumors were true! I was actually excited when I saw this LJ thing... and the more i watch the trailors and clips. Browsing things on the main site, the more it makes me sick. They could have easily made the movie like the book and changed a few things. But nope... Lets just hope they never try to make a Silver Kiss movie.
On the plus side, I'm very happy that livejournal is receiving the revenue it needs to keep making itself a great place to blog.
Other than that, this is possibly one of the most asinine marketing schemes I've ever seen. You've managed to get a handful of people to actually go along with your "role-play" community, yet, as this post illustrates, they see your movie as a horrible perversion of the book they know and love. The following seems to be your general formula for making movies.
Make an atrocious movie. a. Take a well-known, well-loved dark fantasy staple. b. Make it into a movie with a multi-million dollar "guns, tits, and explosions" budget, replacing any meaningful plot with an 2 hours of gibberish. c. Feebly try to get the fans of 'a' to advertise it for you.
???
Profit?
What's next? Perhaps you can ruin a few Neil Gaiman works? Personally, I think The Sandman would be a lot cooler if you just had a character named Morpheus, made him a short-tempered mal-adjusted 20-something looking guy living in Eastern Europe, and made the

I've been a big fan of the book for years, and I can say I wanted to throw something at the computer screen when I saw the ads for the first time.
Everything's been changed. Important plot moments, character's relationships...everything. And to top it all off we have this roleplay crap going on. Jesus.
I still plan on seeing the movie just so I can immerse myself in werewolf fantasies for a good two hours.
But hollywood should fucking be ashamed of themselves.
