We'd like to keep the comments to vivian's entries in-character as much as possible; it's more fun that way, and more "real" for those playing along

I just watched and studied the trailer again and I suddenly don't think she will end up with Aiden. There were a few parts that led me to this conclusion. The part where they are all wet and Aiden asks "why do you know so much about wolves?" and Vivian says "I wanted to protect you" he replies "what, from you?" Thats the first clue that maybe this isn't his idea of a wet dream. The second thing is, the sequence of events has been messed with a little bit, the part where they try to figure out how to leave the city comes before he finds out she's a wolf I think. Also, when Aiden tells Vivian that she can control it, it sounds like he isn't really accepting her as a loup-garou, and wants her to be tame and more human, because maybe he thinks wolves are monsters. I'm really starting to feel like they may not have changed it completely...watch the trailer and again and try to see if you can plot the sequence of events by their clothes and whether they are all wet or not :)
If I may speak up...I will admit, this whole playing as Vivian thing is a clever, fun idea, and a creative marketing ploy. And whoever's doing it is a very good writer

I like the community layout and I do like the idea of being able to communicate with one of the fictional characters. It's interesting. Hopefully LJ will do more like this :-?
I must confess that I'm a big fan of the book, so from what I've seen of the movie so far; it looks like it's going to disappoint. Too much like Underworld, without the vampires. :| I hope I'm wrong.
The moment I saw "From the Producers of Underworld" I immediately thought "Lovely, another horror hack love story" not that Underworld wasn't good of course. Then again, I haven't seen it all the way through. But anyway, why Eastern Europe? If anything, werewolves would be wiped out over there o_O It makes more sense to have it in the US, hello Maryland? The state of the weird and unnatural? (Exorcist, Blair Witch Project, etc) And what's with Gabe's attitude? He's completely out of character. He's cocky yes, but he's not out to go and kill people, which means they probably won't have that bonding session with Viv and him because that would contradict his movie persona's character. And since when did he have a son? And the Five's a bit of a gang yes, but Vivian's not afraid of them. She seems like a wuss in this movie compared to the book

I, for one, was excited when I heard they were making a movie. The very next words out of my mouth?
"I hope they don't screw it up."
Seriously, how hard is it to follow the plot and that of a book? It's already written out for you. What I can gather of this so far is that you could change the plot a teeny teeny bit more, change the characters names and the title and have a completely new story.
I don't get a LOT of the changes, and the characters are not at all as I imagined them to be. I mean, especially ages and relationships and all. Gabriel being Viv's uncle? EW. What about Uncle Rudy? He was a great character, and I adored him. I also loved the amoeba, and the whole high school thing. It was a nice story, and looks like it'll be a crappy movie. Especially since I'm such a fan of the book i'd sit there like "That's not what happens!" throughout the whole thing, annoy everyone by doign so, and be kicked out of the theater.
