Weird, I was in a very similar situation like yours for years. All my good girl friends were in relationships and I was the only one that wasn't, but I didn't want one either. It did get annoying when they'd ditch you to chill with their significant others.. but I didn't want a fake relationship (and like you said), to have someone just for the sake of being with someone.

On that note, I'm 21 and I still haven't been in a "serious" relationship nor am I really seeking one. Although I can say I've had my feelings hurt and cried over guys, etc etc. Perhaps its cus we both have high expectations? lol. I was abroad in New Zealand for a couple of months and I was "seeing" this guy (not my boyfriend) and I told him I had never been in a relationship and he said "How come? You think you're too good for everyone?", lol. And you know what, in a small way, I think I am.

HAHA wow long post. I don't remember how I ended up adding you on my LJ, but HEY, WHAT'S UP!? My name is Kat!

Woah I love long coments, and people don't usually coment so long as you did, or even don't coment at all x)
anyway,I'm only 16 (soon to be 17 YAY!) and I've been hurt, but I know that it's not like true true true love, and for a relation, I want something serious, and I know that maybe I am too young.. but even if it's someone I like to be around with, I want it to be nice and simple, and if it's just "I like you" or "I adore you", I want it to be that way, I don't wanna just say "I love you! We will be together forever"!

I don't rememer you adding me haha, but you seem to be so nice :)
I'm Mariana :D

I know how that feels, so I can relate with you on it. And it does kind of stink when your friends would rather hang out with their boyfriends and whatnot... and say that they are so quick to say "I love you, and we're going to be together forever." Then, not too long afterward they end up breaking up and the cycle repeats itself, just with someone new. D:

I don't know, I'm only nineteen and I don't really want a relationship, which is probably weird. o_O I'd just rather not end up being like everyone else and end up getting so blinded and disillusioned by "love" and end up getting hurt again. ><; And, now if I were ever in a relationship with a guy... God would have to be at the center of that relationship. ^^

"You're a princess, and you really deserve a prince charming." <-- That is so true. :O I wonder why a lot of girls haven't heard that. :(

Wow, very long comment. o_O

You exactly got my point... I don't mind being on a relation, een if it is not that serious, but I mean, I won't say "I love you" if I just 'adore' someone (in portuguese there's a HUGE difference from adore to love, and we usually say "adore" but well some people are fast enough to say "love" in the first week! -.-), I'm only 16, so I know that maybe it's early for something serious, but loving or just adoring, it has to be serious enough, and I hate those kind of fluffy mellow things couples do, that is so.. cheesy ( ... )
