"I have a wish in mind."
I secretly trembled for my ward. This could affect the Almighty's decision.
Almighty wants to test her if she's applicable to be an Angel when she dies.
I can't tell her since it is forbidden for any non-holy being to know about it and I accidentally passed that test so I can't help her.
Why it felt so accidentally when it's according to Almighty?
I was an abused illegitimate child who lived with my mother's legal family when I'm still being human. My father was killed in war. Most people in the legal family treated me as a pure member, but not my stepfather. While we are not rich, he would overwork me compared to my half-siblings. He would secretly whip me with his belt because he just hates me for being not his son.
When I was 20, the entire family was slaughtered in front of my eyes
. I was wounded but I managed to escape. The joy of escaping ended when I experienced bliss while lying on the street. My last words were “I hope for better people, and a better place to live." Waking up, I became an Angel.
Anyway, Rish’s decision is firm for her wish. She was trying to say her wish softly because her family is asleep.
"I won't wish for my condition to go away, It is a part of me. Ah, but I would really wish to be an Angel with you when I die. I would like to guide people too. I want to shower the love you gave me to another needy person. I could start volunteering too if it helps in Angel duties."
Did she know about the test? No, I felt that she spoke from her heart. Almighty would be very pleased.
"I feel honored. Wish granted, I should wait for you. “I honestly said while putting my hands together. “Uphold your principles my dear, they would go a long way." I could only cheer her on but her smile is precious, even when she slept after I cheered.
Rish came out from the hospital the morning after. She promised to take care of her body more. I would want to take care of her more.
But after 19 years of guiding and watching over her, my mission with her is completed. Almighty even congratulated me.
But I need one last time before sending letters. Once a warding mission is complete, you can only send friendly letters that only the ward could see but I never sent anything to my past wards. I surprisingly coped up easily with them even though I liked them too.
I found myself in her room again where it all started 11 years ago. I'm sorry Rish, either you pass or fail, I will leave your side, but passing it will make you remember me always.
As she opened the door, I started telling. It hurts to see my favorite ward like this and I had two wards before her. She was crying as I instructed her how to contact me through a certain address and email address. Holy beings can be techies too.

As she wrote everything down, I hugged her and in those few seconds I felt human again. Then I left her, with my usually painless chest started feeling again.
Years passed and we still exchange mails and e-mails greeted with “To my special friend Stephen”. I learned that she finished her course without complications and she is engaged to Yur a year after. I am a little jealous of Yur but I am happy for them. I'm glad Rish saved Yur from bedding more women. Of course, he should be contented with an Angel and I mean it literally.
Years pass fast for me. While taking care of another ward, Rish gave birth to twins named Lili and Mimi and she would send videos of them too.
As my new ward grew gracefully, Lili and Mimi too grew up living to Rish and Yur's beauty.
Many more things happen as time went by. People I used to watch on Rish's community died one by one and some even became Angels. Their legacies were kept by their children and grandchildren.
Lili and Mimi have produced kids too! But they and their kids don't know me because Rish never mentioned me to anyone but her parents and Yur. Yes, he knew my very existence when Rish introduced me after their honeymoon. He believed in Rish when I wrote an encouragement note in front of them. Of course he could only see a flying paper anyway. That was strange already. Well, at least their Mom brought them well and they raise children well too.
-----
The time has come to make Rish into an angel was coming. She just died at the age of 80 which was quite envious yet something to celebrate. I was not given a person to guide for her arrival. I am supposed to teach her the basics.
She came, as youthful as a 19 year old, my favorite era of her.
She held my hand, as we fly to show her the basics of being an Angel.
