Hmmm... I really do not understand the context of this message. Are there girls who would blame a guy for taking away their shoes while they were puking? a majority of women who prefer assholes over 'nice guys'? Just because many people consider "I'm sorry ( Read more... )

Yay! There is nothing in this world I love more than piling so many gender stereotypes into one stereotype comglomeration, that the stereotypes are so obsucred and distorted that the distinction between who is stereotyped as what is
indistinguishable.

I love this, because when I'm pressured by society (or whatever else) to act a certain way in accordance with my genitalia, I will fight back, and It will force me to think about my own identity, and I will learn just a little more about myself, my identity, and what I stand for.

I really don't give a shit about what this kind of garbage "means about society". It's real and we all have to deal with it.

Omg not to be completely unrelated to your point but half the time I couldn't make sense of what was sorry for because there are too many random nots and shit. But yeah...I hate in general when there are things like this that make generalizations about gender in the big scheme. I mean this pretty much generalizes all women as blind to "the nice guy."

I remember talking about the door opening thing in sex and gender, and most people said they'd open doors for males too. But there was one person who told this story about a girl who stood there and waited for this guy to open the door for her. THAT was ridiculous. The more I think about it, holding the door for anyone, even if it wasn't something derived from gender stereotypes, is slightly silly. I mean, is it really a noteworthy amount of work to reopen the door?
