I know it's probably just consolation at this point, but I get how you feel, and feel much the same at times.
I'll note that there might be a question of whether the two are actually related (the alienation, and the desire to avoid conflict). In my personal situation, I tend to see the two as somewhat unrelated, actually. There shouldn't be any reason that being the type of person who wants to avoid conflict precludes you from having friends, unless your friends are of the sort that seek conflict out of their own personality or such. I can see where they could be connected, for sure, but if they are, I'd have to think that there'd be a common thread that'd be a problem too
( ... )
I also know how it feels to want to be the one that handles the burden. I've been doing it most of my life because I don't want people dealing with my problems or hearing about my issues. I also avoid conflict like the plague. There's no fun in life if everyone is butting heads right?
Now in the end you will be the one to choose how you want to handle things, and sometimes wanting to handle things all on your own is fine. I tend to make that decision still, but asking for a little help is never a bad thing and if your friends are good, they won't mind helping and getting involved if it means a better future for everyone :)
You've still got a friend in me so I hope you don't forget that :3 Keep on trucking~
