Apartment Woes

May 29, 2008 13:45

So I'm trying to move out as soon as I can and I just got my 14th salary...now I only need an apartment! The nicest offers have full waiting lists, of course. If you want to change residences fast, you have to be either rich or wait *grumble*
The second best offer is available September. Should I wait?

I know it is more agreeable to walk upon carpets than to lie upon dungeon floors, I know it is pleasant to have all the comforts and luxuries of civilization; but he who cares only for these things is worth no more than a butterfly, contented and thoughtless, upon a morning flower; and who ever thought of rearing a tombstone to a last summer's butterfly? )

apartments, space, confusion, love

I would wait or continue looking for more apartments until you fall in love with one. Then the small scratches and the skeletons in the closet don't count as much as before...we are talking about apartments don't we? ;)

Well, yes. I don't talk about my relationsships with *people* in LJ, but I see the parallels now. I have not yet to pay for boys, though. That's one of my age plans :D
Around the corner is something with a small patch of terrace and garden, but expensive...hmmm...

Just think you propably will spend a long time in there and what you are willing to fix and change. Either without doing something an disgusting bathroom will always be disgusting and on the other hand the rent will never go down for sure.
To have the time to wait is a bargain when searching for a flat in Vienna. A luxury I didn't had and so I pay 600 bucks for my flat here.
Madame Alu for example would rather take a substandard-flat and invite all friends for a "Restauration-Party" :D

Good luck either way! :)
