Necklaces, earrings, and bracelets are not permitted.
WHAT.

but then they say . . .

Earrings may be worn only in the lobe of the ear (maximum of two matched sets).
hmm. odd.

An email account is provided for each student. Due to the flood of objectionable content coming through outside email services, students may use only this filtered campus email system.
Must be hell (pun intended) when their e-mail goes down.

Contemporary Christian music is not permitted (e.g., Michael W. Smith, Stephen Curtis Chapman, WOW Worship, and so forth).
WHAT. I am honestly mind-boggled by this. Bob Jones must have something against repetitve, goofy lyrics.

I agree with your rant very much, and thank my lucky stars I go to a heathen school that lets me learn and make mistakes and listen to sinful music (RENT is on right now :D).

i'm too lazy to go back to the site, but didn't it say that for men no necklaces, earrings, or bracelets but it was okay for girls?

and hahahahahahaha yeah. my school's email tends to not attach/send/recieve 60% of the time. i don't know what i'd do without an alternate email.

Abercrombie & Fitch and its subsidiary Hollister have shown an unusual degree of antagonism to the name of Christ and an unusual display of wickedness in their promotions. In protest, we will not allow articles displaying their logos to be worn, carried, or displayed (even if covered or masked in some way).

lol...what kind of wickedness? omg...i think i would throw myself in front of a moving vehicle if i went there. talk about having people on a leash. i am going to add you if thats ok.

hey! :)

i just found your journal totally randomly lol...but this entry gave me fond memories of how my friends and I at our (christian!) high school would make fun of bob jones u. to no end. they are absolutely ridiculous there! the scary thing is that the people that go there actually think that's totally normal...and there's a "feeder" high school in our area whose rules and stuff are even more strict than that. like, girls wear long skirts and everything. ridiculous.

sooo, are ya sure you dont want to go to BJU? hahahahahaha
