This is more experimental than I usually am. Usually, I totally know where the story is going and even though I adore comments and feedback and suggestions from readers, I've already got the story mapped out in my head, so the suggestions don't really figure in to the rest of the story

you're amazing. and your fic is so so so pretty, and so much more interesting that this pile of studying sitting on my desk.

i'm not sure how effective it would be, but i want to smack brian.

and to my dismay, i think i'm sort of wanting justin to be with dan. or maybe i just want justin to be with dan until the big dramatic climax in which brian admits he's an ass and justin realizes that he's still ridiculously in love with said ass.

btw, i love the way you write justin (in this and your other fic). there are a lot of writers out there that make brian "the strong one" and justin "the wimpy, lame pushover". i love that you refuse to do that. justin is always someone i can respect in your fic.

I'll say first, I do like Dan. But second, I am such a die-hard 'Brian and Justin together always' fan that I can't see one or the other of them ending up with someone else unless one of them is dead (and then it would depend upon the state of their relationship when they died whether or not I want the survivor to mourn alone forever *g*).

Yes, Brian was a first-class asshole. But I don't think he ever intended the separation to be permanent. Remember his words to Mikey in Part 1? Brian thought he and Justin would get back together naturally one day. He just wasn't ready for it yet. I think he saw himself becoming domesticated and even worse liking it. So in typical Brian fashion decided relocating Justin to another state was the easiest way for him to enjoy himself without temptation until he was resigned to his fate

While your vision doesn't exactly mesh with my own, you've given me plenty to think about!

I think Justin's relationship with Dan is something that just sort of grew and progressed naturally, as opposed to Justin's relationship with Brian, much of which was orchestrated with great determination by Justin himself!

Being with Dan is easier than being with Brian because Dan doesn't fight the idea of a relationship. But you have a really interesting point in that maybe easier isn't what Justin's really after!

You know my feelings for Brian as a mastermind, and this is soooo perfect for him to scam an irrefutable life-plan for Justin. But then the beautiful blonde is so contrarian.

Please take this in the context of *those who write do, those who don't post comments*. But, why did Justin fall so hard for Dan and so fast? Dan is the answer for Justin, Jennifer's death must be involved. I'm so B/J OTP it reeks, but I might be ready to throw Brian out with the bath water.

This is really, really, good.

I think there's all sorts of reasons for that, but mostly I think it happened in spite of Justin's intentions. When Justin first noticed Dan, I think he just thought Dan was hot and probably a decent lay. That it turned into something more just kind of happened naturally because Dan's a good guy who's smart and interesting and fun to be with.

Wow. I'm a little late to the party but I just want to echo the rest of the comments on this post and tell you how amazing I think this story is.

I love the way you've managed to subtly flesh out your OMC and make him so believable as someone who would be a true contender for Justin's affections. You have me seriously considering a Justin/Dan OTP!

I can't wait to see where you take this next!

It'll be a few days or more! I'm on vacation in the company of three kids ages seven and under! I'm finding there isn't a lot of time to write fanfiction when you're hanging with little kids! Still, I'm piecing together the next part (in my head!) and hope to have it ready to post in a week!
