i learned that i used my "type A" nomenclature was incorrect. i thought it was the shortcut for "alphas" (think alpha male/female group roles), but it's not. regardless, there are a lot of alphas in my friend circles. upon further thought, i get along with women better than men because i am an alpha male. i'm not a type a person though.
