Today was the opening of the Film Festival; for once, I didn't want to see anything at all on opening day (except for A Cock and Bull Story, but that was on while I was still at work).

Today I made a start on Neil Gaiman's latest, Anansi Boys; much to my surprise I found myself still reading at 5:00 a.m. (in between breaks to watch BBC world show us more of the Israelis bombing Lebanon): once I settled into thestoryline, the book was extremely hard to put down - it probably helped being a much simpler story than Orhan Pamuk's ( Read more... )

Today my accumulation of late nights and poor sleep caught up with me: sure, my alarms went off at 7:00 but then, without any noticeable time passing, it was 8:30 and I, who live 15 minutes (on a good day) from work, had to be at work at 9:00 becaus it would simply be far too obvious if I was not.
