This week, the cirque has instituted a local's discount. They are only here for about two more weeks, so I suppose they figure it is time to give the same local discount that all other touristy-type business give. I love this exchange:
He said, "Go ahead and call me names if it makes you feel better."

She yelled back, "It doesn't make me feel better!"

She's right - it doesn't make me feel better when I get upset because I can't have my way LOL! And yet...

One thing I've noticed, and celebrities talk about it too, the more money you have the more discounts and freebies you get. Think about bank loans. Banks will give you a loan if you have the money. But if you have the money why do you need the loan? Ridiculous.

I hope she didn't get any tickets at all.

I wish someone would give me a bunch of freebies!

However, in reality, Chris' family has been so generous to us. We wouldn't be able to move without their help.

She did get tickets, but she paid full price. She slammed the money down onto the counter.

I think it was businessweek that posted an article about people having a new abnormal norm where they spend lots of money on luxury items but yet cut back from buying household brand names to generics. People are spending vast amounts of money on trips but then going overboard on discounts of certain items.

Very interesting. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they are spending this money in our economy. We really need it. But that doesn't give them the right to be so rude!

I wholeheartedly agree. People need to learn to not be rude just because they can't get their way.
