I have two new favorite British shows. The first is The Only Way is Essex (Hulu), which is a Jersey-shore-esque reality show but with British accents. I never watched a reality show like that before. I certainly don't watch Jersey Shore. Yet for some reason, the fact that it is British makes it much more entertaining, and somehow ok that they are

I came back searching for this post because I am falling out-of-sorts and wanted something to watch while I hibernated trying to recuperate. We have such similar tastes in TV shows. Love British ones, like the IT Crowd and Doc Martin, and I know we both like Big Bang Theory...

I'm sorry to hear that your not feeling well--watching British TV while resting up sounds like a lovely idea to me! Have you watched "Spy" yet? It's on Hulu, and only lasted for one season. But it's very funny, if you can stomach the obnoxious kid.

We just finished with the whole Doc Martin series! I loved it--hope you enjoy it as well. I watched the first Downton show and was a little turned off by the gay kissing scene (yea, I'm a prude). But I'll probably keep watching it.

That's the only scene like that in the series (that I can think of). I hope you keep with it--the second season of Downton is wonderful! And we did love Doc Martin SO much!
