It's a tad wet out there ...
Floods! Not through our house, thankfully, but the police have closed the bridge in the local village, and the fire brigade have evacuated 49 of the houses next to the river, despite the flood defences that were built several years ago. I have a job!
And not the one mentioned in my last post either :)
It's part time in a wool shop in our local town, alternate Wednesdays & Saturdays to begin with. I'm pleased and kind of surprised to have got the job, since I've only knitted about four things in total, and was upfront about being a total novice, but the owner seemed wildly ( Read more... ) -

Quite an eventful day ...
- Smelled gas in the kitchen, so I had to turn off the gas at the mains and open all the windows. Luckily it was a beautiful day, so that wasn't too much of a hardship!
