In roughly fifty hours a three year long wait comes to an end. Saying that I'm excited about Serenity could possible be one of the biggest understatements of the year, and I'm not alone in that feeling I'm sure

Yes, yes I am. You're what?!?!?! Filthy, nasty, stinky hobbitses!!! Go see it in a theater! Now! Go! Well okay wait until Friday, but still it's worth paying for, It's Serenity gorramit!
Who hasn't seen the episodes about a thousand times each? Honestly?!
I seriously see where you're coming from with the browncoat thing. Although I do call myself a trekkie, I also can consider myself a browncoat. I think firefly offers something that star trek and the others don't really offer, for one thing. Firefly doesn't really sugarcoat or idealize the future which makes it a little refreshing to all the kids who grew up with the same star wars toys we had. It could also be said that it show the intermediary time between now and when star trek is set, but that might be taking it a little too far. I also am right there with you when you say that this is something that people in our generation can feel they are a part of, because I certainly do. It's all well and good to be born during a revolution, but you don't really get it until you're out there starting one. I'm going to a midnight show down here, by myself if I have to. If you wanted to come that'd be awesome. But if you can't, I understand!
I would love to come down to see a midnight showing, but I don't have a way down there, the only showing (in the entire area) is at the Marcus Addison which is pretty far away as far as I know and even if I could get down there and to the theater I would have no way home at like 3am and I have a class at 9am, so alas no midnight showing for me.
not that you're wrong about your conflicts, but i found a midnight showing like a five minute drive from my apartment. I'm sad that you will not be able to attend, but i'll be there at the 4:10 show(hopefully), so it'll be just like we did go to the midnight show together. hooray!
