One of the things Korea is famous for is having extremely good Starcraft players. The most competitive StarCraft 2 tournament is arguably the Global StarCraft 2 League, or GSL. Korea, Day 7
We left Busan for Gyeongju, a small town on the way back to Seoul. It used to be the capital of the Silla kingdom, which lasted almost 1000 years and eventually unified the Korean peninsula for a time. IMHO, this was one of the better days because the rural feeling was a very different sense than the rest of the trip.

Korea, Day 6
Busan started to liven up as people got back from Chuseok. We continued to sort of relax, partly due to the weather - we had originally planned for some hiking while we were in Busan, but it was still a bit too hot and humid to be comfortable.

Busan continued to be pretty quiet due to Chuseok, so we took the opportunity to relax a bit.

Korea, Day 4
One problem we didn't realize when originally planning the vacation was that there was a major Korean holiday in the middle of it: Chuseok. It's their harvest festival, sort of like Thanksgiving, when people go back to their family homes and pay respects to their ancestors and so on. One side effect of everyone going home? Everything's closed.

Korea, Day 3
I was still jetlagged and woke up around 3 AM. I tried to go back to sleep for a while, but failed, and at least made some productive use out of it by learning Hangul, the Korean alphabet.

Korea, Day 2
We started off the vacation with a guided tour. Waking up in time was easy due to jet lag, I got up before the alarm (which never happens at home). The tour's destination? Korea's demilitarized zone.

About two months ago, during one of my games days, B and E once again mentioned they were going on a vacation, this time to Korea. Whereas I was super excited to go to Japan, I was more "meh" about Korea, but traveling with others is much better than traveling by myself, so I decided I might as well go.
