I hate my hormones. They're driving me crazy. Every day I wake up feeling great, and EVERY DAY I wind up in tears by mid-afternoon. I cry for an hour, then pull myself together and enjoy my evening. My sister-in-law gave birth to her second little girl, Kelsey Rose, at 4 a.m. today. I think she went completely natural.

This makes me feel even more excited about my own kid!

The other day I joined my husband's gym. That's when I realized I'm now unable to do anything near what I used to do in terms of working out. I was walking on the treadmill for about 15 minutes before the bounciness of the rubber tread began to cause ligament discomfort in my abdomen. Then I moved to the reclining bikes. I'm not sure WHAT happened yesterday, but I was a total wreck. I just felt emotionally miserable...even after I made a yummy breakfast and put up our Christmas tree. The day ended with tears, a hot chocolate from - you guessed it - Starbucks*, a toffee almond bar, an espresso brownie, and a new Christmas ornament. I am all for trying out breastfeeding, cloth diapering, etc., but geez, I can't believe how freaking MILITANT people are about these issues! APPARENTLY, formula feeding is now tantamount to putting your baby in the car without a carseat, giving your baby a can of soda, or smoking in front of your baby. *rolls eyes ( Read more... )
