Yellow
A double color -
Brave and cautious
The splendid golden leaves' array
Cloaks pallid shock
Sap drains away

I built you up
Made turrets, balconies and bays
I nested in the shadow of your eaves
But stop

I clung to you
Vine on stone
Stone is cold
And yellow autumn whispers
