We have the Fit, and I can't recommend it enough. It's a good little car, good gas mileage, and the whole thing is collapse-able inside, enabling you to haul stuff when needed.

I would also recommend the Toyota Prius (Hybrid). My mom has one, and if I could steal it I would. It's wonderful, and gets ridiculous gas mileage thanks to its electric engine.

I have an old skool Corolla, and she has never let me down.

I *love* my Honda Fit. If you get a new one yours will be slightly different from mind. I have a 2007 Sport model. Honda I think made the body a bit longer than the previous iteration ( ... )

I love, love love my Fit. It combines all the space I might want in a Suburban Assault Vehicle with the gas mileage of my old Metro. With a liner in the back and the seats down, I can totally camp, garden, haul mulch, whatever - and then I can put the seats back up and have a nice roomy car.

Did I mention love?
