*grumbles*  I've come to realize that the current run up in fuel prices means I won't be attending Worldcon this year. I simply can't afford to get there. I looked up ticket prices the other night and while the airfare isn't bad, the fuel / homeland security / port charges cost more than the damn ticket. In this case about $500 all told. Happy Zombie Jesus Day!

I learnt last night that my Aunt Lois passed away on Thanksgiving. My thoughts are with my cousin Pat. I hope that.... I dunno what I hope. I know I loved my aunt. I'll miss her but she was important in my life.

My thoughts go out to the people who were touched by this and to my cousin. She'll need it more than anyone else right now.

 It's been two years and it doesn't get easier.

 A relatively quiet day off for me. The weather hasn't been terrible and there hasn't been much going on here.
