Okay, technically not a meme. But we will treat it as a sort of meme anyway. This is like "why did you pick your mortal names", but instead of mortal names it is, guess what, usernames~

So what is your character's username and why did you pick it? Prize goes to the best reasoned username. Okay there is no prize, but you will get a FFF THAT IS SO

I use requitedly for Anteros because - duh - he's the God of Requited love. And as you'll see I'm not very inspired.

For Baldr, baldrdash was chosen because I found it amusing. This tends to be a good reason for me to do a lot of things.

Charon's username, obolos, is one of the names of the Greek coin one had to pay the Ferryman's fee with.

Echo's username, parallelparrot, was chosen because they're synonyms for echo. Again, I lack imagination.

Eve's username, appletreething, was chosen because of the mythical apple being the forbidden fruit. >_> And well, it doesn't fall far...

For Mordred I went with modraed which is one version of his name.

Nimue's username of noladyofthelake is because I wanted there to be absolutely no confusion that she might be that Lady of the Lake.

I went punny for Paris' username, backpackboy, as Paris actually means backpack in Greek.

Finally, Pasithea's username acquiredone comes from the fact that Hypnos 'acquired' Pasithea as his wife in exchange for doing a favor for her mother Hera.

applemantini (Hathor) ► tbh this wasn't my first choice, but I decided against my first choice and went with this. I wanted to take appletini, but it was taken, gdit, so I went with applemantini, which is basically like an apple martini but with gin instead of vodka. Picked it because she... likes drinking?? And because it's a fun drink, not like a straight shot.

disidentity (Loki) ► Not actually a word lmfao. It's based on the idea that he messes with the identities and faces of others, that even know he knows who he is, other people can confuse him with someone else. So really, it's a play on having an identity crisis, but from the other end.

eatasam (Famine) ► People tend to think or say "eat a sandwich" when it comes to skinny people and thinking they need more meat on their bones, hence "eat a sam(mich)".

eggsup (Castor) ► This is... really really dorky. So he was born from an egg, right. "Eggs up" is another way to say "sunny side up".

hellburning (Kerberos) ► Originally a pre-made account, I picked it mostly because of the reference to Hell, even if the Underworld

Melpomene's is emergedtragedy because she's the muse of tragedy, hence the inspiration has emerged from the sad event that has happened. Also because her parents died when she was young so she herself has emerged from tragedy.

Ra -> fatherofthegods Since he is pretty much the father/creator/parent in some form to most of the Egyptian pantheon.

Sokar -> deserthawking Because his realm in the underworld is a desert and he's represented by a hawk so there we go.

Gabriel -> divine_strength due to Gabriel being God's strength so as God is divine, thus Gabriel has divine strength.
