1. LOL at your gift choices for James; I *think* the Army provides that shiz as part of his salary or benefits package or whatever though.
2. Oooh, I hope dad likes Mad Men. It took me a little while to get into it on any level beyond "WHY DO PEOPLE NOT DRESS LIKE THIS ANYMORE" but now I'm obsessed with it. I do kind of worry that it might make him want to kill himself.
3. Good call on doing a little gift shopping for yourself, always a favorite tradition of mine at this time of year.

I hope you like your present ok - I was going to go with a videogame but had NO idea what you already have or were getting from other sources, so I figured gadgetry was good for now. You should start giving me ideas for your birthday though!
