Rob Zombie's Halloween: a review

Too much Rob Zombie, not enough Halloween.

There were some great ideas but it was on the whole too weighed down with Zombie's fallbacks (southern-fried white trash) and general uglyness.

I'll assume you're referring to the workprint, which has had several changes since it was screened for testing in June 2007.

Just saying that you might want to be aware that you're not viewing a finished film, because they made some pretty major changes by several accounts.

Yeah I heard the rape scene (which actually made me consider not watching the rest) got cut and I'm assuming a lot of the second sex scene because of the pre-teen-ness of it. Did they cut a lot of the family stuff at the start because that annoyed me the most.

Not sure, but I know the ending changed.

I find Rob Zombie strangely attractive.
