Yes, I understand how magical it would have been for Germany to play in the finals since they are the host country, but come on... Italy was obviously the better team. Their defense was solid, focus was unmatched. Had it gone to penalties Italy probably would have lost, but they pulled through at the last minute and Germany could not. Germany is still an amazing team, they defiantly didn't make it easy for the Azzurri (and Ballack is damn fine), but Italy deserved that win.
