I'm down to 140 lbs, from 160lbs three months prior. I also lost 4 inches off my waist. Also started on a bad habit that I was able to quit for three, maybe four years. I've always wondered why back in the 90s I could tell just by the guitar sound or drum sound who's playing on the radio, even before the singer comes in with a line. Now, you can't tell anyone apart. Here's an interesting article on the fight for high fidelity sound.

Saw the sea yesterday. I don't know why, but I felt like jumping in (which would be a reaally bad idea. It was at the Manila Bay, you see.) No, I'm not suicidal. I just felt the urge to find...something. Something out there. It's probably just the gloomy weather.

I imagine my kid would be awkward, socially inept, painfully shy, emotionally distant, deeply confused, extremely clumsy, and cripplingly lacking in tact.

And I imagine apologizing to him a lot for it.
