Not that I needed it, but yet another reason to dislike Frank Miller. I have no respect for him as an artist, as a writer, or as a thinker.

I'll just share this; perhaps it's relevant: The other day I fell to temptation and went shopping while I was waiting out an oil change. As I staggered with my bags of useless 70%-off crap to the Barnes and Noble counter to buy enough fat and fruit juice to keep me going, I panted: "Consumerism is it's own punishment," and all the beautiful young barristas nodded wisely.

I hate the mindset that made 300 a hit. I hate that a lot of people become frightened old codgers, especially when they've made a lot of money. But I have great hope for the rising generation.

Did that make any sense?
