Unfortunately, there seems to be a good chance that the whole Neda "assassination" was set up by the CIA as propaganda in the uprising.

HBO has a program on called For Neda that's really incredible... and sad.

I remember the day it happened. My heart sank. It still does.

Apparently she was targeted because she was a beautiful woman. In the video they speak of elders who warned her not to go out because the military had a habit of going after beautiful young women because they were seen as "evil". But Neda was strong and defiant until the very end. For Neda. :(
