I like to listen to audiobooks while driving and I got one out of the library from some author I'd never read before. It was a murder mystery and the back cover blurb sounded ok, but I didn't even make it through the first disc ( Read more... ) -
Kindergarden Graduation
I went to my niece Sophia's kindergarten graduation this morning, only to see her withdraw, overwhelmed by the crowds and the noise. Both her mom and dad had to run back to work so I was the only adult on site for her. She is highly sensitive to lots of people noise and just zoned when everyone was lining up for the lunch buffet, so overwhelmed ( Read more... ) -

CA Supreme Court Decision on 'Gay Marriage' Law
The court decided today that Prop 8, defining marriage as being between a man and a woman, has to stand, but said it could not be applied retroactively and left standing the 18,100 same-sex marriages that happened before it's passage. However it looks like the devil is in the details.
