Two random icons today... the first was a picture I ran across while looking for the monster pictures yesterday, the second was a retro ad I just liked, and the words... just fitted.

What a great merger that first one is! And what a terrific put-down the second one! Love the fonts, too!

I dunno, I might fall a bit behind the schedule over the weekend. I don't usually have a social life at all, but this weekend I have stuff to do on both days, so. I dunno if there's time to draw or not :)

That's a lovely composition. The pose is so jaunty and the details are great. I particularly liked the palings on the fence.

Who is the character?

Thank you! It's Mr. Jago from Jago & Litefoot audio dramas. It's a Doctor Who spin-off, Victorian era supernatural mysteries and science fiction. My favorite thing forever and ever :)

More scarf. More attempt at cables. I keep on not being sure which sets of stitches I should be swapping over.

I know I'm very late; the last few days simply went by too fast! I hope to catch up with comments this weekend.

More drawing is what I'm hoping to do this month, but using colour more often than only graphite. My first idea for today, which seemed small when I thought about it, turned out to be too ambitious. So, I scaled it down to a geranium petal and a jasmine leaf. I was trying to get the colour of both, but also show shape with the shading and the colour in their shadows. Neither really worked, I'm afraid. Still, this is what I did:

Cool!

(Evidence that we are our own harshest critics).

:-D (I think the scan is flattering.) Now to see if I can work up to a whole flower at some point.

But they are wonderfully coloured and shaded! I can see that typical structure of geraniums petals, really fantastic!
