After months of freezing and snowy weather we have sunny warm day. Thank you universe! The weather has been killing my mood and I am thankful for today.

I finally went to to doc after six months of this stabbing, numbing pain in my left foot. I waited so long because I figured it would just heal itself. Well it turns out a nerve is damaged (morton neuroma) and I needed a cortisone shot. Well after getting the shot yesterday I came home from work and could barely walk. I just notice the leaves were changing a pretty shade of orange. I am glad for the fall. All the pretty leaves and it's too cold for the neighbors to be hanging out on the balcony until 4 am.

Miech and I were in bed talking about our next day agenda when from the corner of my eye I see something fall from the ceiling. It lands on Miech's bedside table and starts making all this noise. Today was one of those days when you wake up feeling really good inside and nothing could change that. You could be swamped with work, deal with difficult people, sore boobs(pms) and get coffee on you new dress but you still felt good. It's nice to have a skip in your step.

This will be our first getaway this summer. Our friends have a house on the shore and we love hanging with them so why not. I made sangria which has been sitting for a few days. I added apples, oranges, pineapple, mango and strawberries. I am bringing our csa greens so there will be plenty of grilled veggies. I love this summer.

Our CSA (http://www.astoriacsa.com/) started up again! Yeah! I made a swiss chard,leek and cheese pie. I also made kale, spicy tomatoes and brown rice. I failed the radishes. I waited too long to do something with them and they passed. I picked up cherry jam from a farm out east. So good.

We decided that this summer will be our Summer of Fun. We have been telling our friends and everyone seems into the idea. It's about the beach, music, family, friends, art, hiking and barbecue. I decided to go to a juice fast & yoga retreat. I needed a break. The house was a eco friendly place. We were asked not to wear makeup and just chill. No tv, newspaper, phone, internet-equals peace i had forgotten. After juice fasting for five days I felt like I could do this for a month. My skin is sooooooo soft. Dry skin brushing is key.
