My sister died four days ago.  How can one feel so empty and yet so painful at the same time?  I miss the numbness.  I sleep, but when I wake up, I’m more tired than I was when I went to bed.  I haven’t slept at home since it happened.  The first night, her family called me to tell me and I howled out my grief, along with a good supply of tears.

I do not get people.  I just don’t.  You start seeing someone, things are going great, and then BAM!  Outta the blue you get nuthin’.  I literally mean nothing.  I was dating this girl.  We hung out a few times, actually went out, we’d even met each other’s families, in very informal circumstances.  I send an email simply saying I think she’s cool.
