After about a month of being at Walgreens, I realized that I was turning as many things as possible into Doctor Who references.

You have 750 grams of yarn, and you're still not sure if it's enough.  I want to make a hooded jacket with this heavy worsted wool I got last year, but I'm really not sure how much yarn a project like that uses.  

I've been home more than a month now. I wanted to write an entry one month to the day of my return to the US, but we all know how good I am at writing on a deadline.

So things I've done since I've been back:

Not that anyone in the US actually celebrates it. Over here we got a three day holiday for it, which mostly means that campus is empty while everyone went home.  I don't travel during the national holidays anymore, because I'm too old for that shit ( Read more... )

I was feeling nostalgic at the beginning of the semester, so I started downloading some anime series I watched in high school and college... and then I realized I haven't watched any new anime in a very long time, so I asked some people on Gaia for some recommendations. Next thing I know, I've got 20 different anime waiting to be watched.

First of all, thanks for the supportive responses to my post last month.  I've obviously been under a lot of stress this semester.
